The Alpine KTP-450 is a Power Pack Amplifier, which means it’s small, and can often be mounted near the head.
Note: This high voltage amp will not work on systems operating with an external factory amplifier. If the car has a factory amplifier, the factory amp must pass completely (this can result in lost speaker stations, if the factory amp has more than 4 channels).

How to Install a Car Amp?
Amplifiers amplify the output of your car’s audio system so you can listen to music more and improve audio. A car amp can be a difficult installation since you work on the power of your car, but you can finish it within 3 to 4 hours. Start by finding a cozy spot inside your car and wipe your magnifier down to put it away. Use cables from the amp kit on the sides of your car so you can connect them to the power and stereo system. Once you have connected all the wires to their opposite ports, adjust the volume settings on the amp to prevent distortion and terminate the installation. Just make sure you disconnect the power from your car while you are working on it!

2. Running Ropes

3. You need an Amplifier

- Disconnect the ring terminal of the power cord.
- Put the power cord on the battery terminal.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal to test the amplifier.
- Turn the gain on the amp as low as possible.
- Play a clean sound with your stereo.
- Lift the volume on the stereo head until you feel the distortion.
